Description:
Preacher and businessman, Bishop Albert Kee, welcomed with a conch call more than 11 million visitors to the USA's southernmost point. Fittingly his bronze statue is next to the buoy which proclaims Key West's geographical status. He was the unofficial greeter for this small island until his death in 2003. In 2015 this sculpture was created by Tom Joris and unveiled, paying tribute to the man who started the tradition of "conch honking" on the island.
