"I Dream of Jeannie" was set in Cocoa Beach, Florida even though it was not filmed in that city. Nevertheless, the show played a significant role in popularizing the region as "the Space Coast." Barbara Eden, Larry Hagman, and the entire cast and crew even visited Cocoa Beach for a promotional event centered on the on-screen wedding of Jeannie and Major Nelson, leaving a lasting impression on the area's cultural identity.
