Jacksonville Zoo

The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens has over 2,000 animals and 1,000 plants covering an area of approximately 117 acres. The zoo has grown considerably since its modest beginnings and has become one of the city's premier attractions, with more than 1,000,000 visitors in the last year. The zoo is also heavily active in animal preservation.
