Description:
The Recyclosaurus Dinosaur in Tampa, Florida is a huge sculpture of a T-Rex made of recycled materials and half-filled with cans, bottles, and trash. He's been standing in front of Tampa's Museum of Science and Industry since 1993. The sculptor of the statue was Terry Klaaren, a local sculptor and muralist who's lived in the Tampa Bay area since 1972. The Recyclosaurus stands 25 feet high and 40 feet long from head to tail. It's framework is made from recycled steel and its skin is made from orange plastic mesh construction fencing. An assortment of discarded materials fill its body cavity.
