Description:

This brick lighthouse standing 72 feet high is the third in this vicinity. The first was built in 1833, the second in 1848, and the final in 1852. The first was unable to be seen by approaching ships and the second was felled by a hurricane. The lighthouse is still active, but it is open to the public. You'll pay a small fee to climb to the observation deck.
