Description:

The proverbial glass house has gotten a bad rap until Tom Fruin's lovely light-infused structure was built. Located right on the bank of Lake Nona, the vibrant, translucent panes create a traditional house shape with a cubic base topped by a triangular prism. It's a part of Fruin's "ICON" series, a collection of colorful prismatic sculptures made from reclaimed materials with installations in different cities. The fastest way to get there is to take Central Florida Greeneway (toll road) to Lake Nona Blvd. and go south. Turn right on Tavistock Lakes Blvd. and left on Walcott Avenue. You'll find plenty of parking nearby, especially in the off-season.
