Description:

In the 1920s, Conrad Schuck was told that he would have one year to live. This spurred him to move his family to Bartow where he built this home, starting it some time in 1926. Completely whimsical, but lovely and elegant at the same time, this home features private balconies with outdoor tubs for the bedrooms as well as a fish pond on the third floor balcony. Many years later, Conrad Schuck was still alive and still working on his big home project, but gave tours to the public for 25 cents per person. After his big scare in the 20s, he lived to 94! In 2015, a couple bought the home at auction and have been restoring it true to its original design. Tours are given with advance reservations made online.
