Description:
On the side of the road is the stone foundation, well, and chimney of an old sugar mill that processed cane sugar from a nearby plantation. Until the Civil War the mill used the labor of enslaved people to produce the sugar. There is a small parking lot and park grounds across the street. Hours are from 8 AM to sunset and there is no fee for parking.
