Zoo Miami

Located in the famous Miami-Dade County, this zoo has been here since 1948. Today, it covers over 700 acres and houses more than 3,000 animals of at least 500 different species. Being in the warm, tropical Florida climate has its advantages--a lush botanical garden is one of the major attractions here. People over 12 pay around $23 for admission and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of the year, including holidays (holiday hours vary). (Submitted by Alexandra Vega)
