Central State Hospital

This was for a time one of the largest mental hospitals. Now it is mostly abandoned with the bodies of over 25,000 patients resting in graves around the property. The stately building while old and not well-maintained still possesses grace and refinement. While it is largely out of use there are some parts of it still functioning as administrative offices and even a small museum. Around 200 people are still being treated here as well. You can go on the property but the restricted-access areas are monitored.
