Colonial Park Cemetery

Once the burial site for Christ Church Parish this cemetery became open to the deceased of all denominations starting in 1789. Even though the architecture is lovely as are the gravestones and markers of the people who rest here, reading the inscriptions is the most interesting part. Many of the people died during historic events of Savannah making this an educational experience too.
