----- Permanently Closed ----- These granite blocks is like a modern-day Ten Commandments. While many might argue that the Ten Commandments are guidance enough these giant tablets were established in 1980 to guide humankind through the "Age of Reason." No one knows who exactly commissioned the blocks nor what his or her belief system was. What is clear is that the first tenet "maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature" was broken - the population in 1980 was already well over 4 billion. (Photo by Skylar Otoole)
