Description:
The Golf Tee Water Tower is one of the most playful landmarks on Jekyll Island, cleverly designed to resemble a giant golf tee rising above the island. Built in the 1950s, it reflects Jekyll Island’s long-standing connection to golf, home to some of the oldest and most celebrated courses in the Southeast. Today, the tower doubles as both essential infrastructure and a quirky roadside photo stop that perfectly captures the island’s laid-back charm.
