Description:

FDR, who contracted polio at the age of 39, came to Warm Springs to recuperate from the debilitating illness. He loved the area so much that he decided to have his home built here and used it as a retreat when he became president. Roosevelt eventually died in this house and it has been preserved for future generations as a museum ever since then.
