See Seven States

Depending on the day the seven-state claim might be a bit exaggerated. Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee can clearly be seen from Lookout Mountain. On a very clear day with the correct equipment you might be able to see North Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia, and South Carolina. It's recommended that you try Rock City on the eastern side of the mountain with its stationary binoculars or you can try Ochs Observatory at Point Park if you have your own viewing gear. There are a couple places to eat such as Cafe 7 or Cliff Terrace. Even if you can't really see seven states there is a lot to see for historians or visitors just wanting a beautiful place to get some exercise.
