Description:

This beautiful covered bridge with the latticed sides creates a perfect backdrop for a Sunday picnic. It's also a great companion to the nearby grist mill. Built in 1891, the bridge used to be located in downtown Athens until flooding irreparably damaged it. At great expense it was taken apart in the 1960s and reassembled in its current place. To visit the bridge and the grist mill you must purchase a parking pass, $20 for the day and $40 for the year.
