Ironman Triathlon Start and Finish

The race consists of a 2.4 mile swim, 112-mile bicycle ride, and a marathon of 26.22 miles - all of which have to be completed within a 16-17 hour timeframe. Ironman competitions are held around the world, but the championship is held here annually. The sign is in the bustling downtown Kona area - surrounded by shops, restaurants, and sea views.
