Description:
From this vantage point you can see the jewel-like turquoise inlet. The different colors are the result of variations in salinity. Of course, you could always get your heart pumping with a good hike down to the bay, but this is the much easier way to view it - without the sweat! To get there take Highway 19 north from Kohala Resort Area. The Overlook is located on the left side of the road at Mile Marker #82.
