Moku‘aikaua Church

Billed as Hawaii's first Christian church, Moku'aikaua congregation was established in 1820. The church building was completed in 1837 and since then has been a center of Christian worship in Kailua-Kona. The structure was made from local materials, including stones from an ancient Hawaiian temple and local Koa wood as well as crushed coral mortar.
