Mountain Thunder Coffee Plantation in Kailua‑Kona is an award‑winning organic Kona coffee farm set high on the slopes of Hualālai volcano at about 3,200 ft elevation, where volcanic soils and cool cloud‑forest conditions create ideal conditions for growing 100% estate Kona coffee. Open daily with free guided tours every half hour from about 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM, the tours include coffee tastings, insights into hand‑picking, wet‑milling, sun‑drying, sorting and small‑batch roasting.
