Description:
This beautiful beach at, quite literally, the “end of the road” is one of the more popular beaches in Kauai. That said, be prepared for a crowd and, perhaps, a difficult time finding a parking spot unless you arrive very early in the morning. It’s a great place for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving (a nearby coral reef attracts plenty of lovely fish), the waters here can get rough and dangerous, and we strongly advise to stick to on-shore activities at times of high surf. You don’t need to take a dip into the water, however, to enjoy the beautiful scenery complete with cerulean blue water, wave battered lava rocks, lush palms, and towering cliffs.
