Description:

This quaint little museum beside Kokee Lodge showcases both the cultural and natural history of Kauai. Here, you’ll learn about the native flora and fauna, geological history, and the fascinating people who’ve contributed to making the island community what it is today. The gift shop boasts a large selection of books and souvenirs, and they also provide maps of the area for hikers—so make sure you stop here before trekking out to explore the wild. You’re also bound to notice the large population of feral chickens in the area, descended from domesticated fowl that were displaced by Hurricane Iniki.
