Located at Sunny Poipu Beach park inside Brennecke's deli, Puka Dog specializes in Polish sausages with a Hawaiian twist and homemade shave ice. DYK Puka Dog literally means "hot dog." Puka Dog also has a delicious, custom veggie dog where you choose the options such as sauce, relish, mustard, and sauces. If you are vegan, you need to ask which sauces are vegan (the secret sauce contains butter and the garlic lemon sauces are not vegan, but they are darned good)! Pair your dog with a bag of Maui Onion chips and a refreshingly tart lemonade and you have the perfect lunch! P.S. The Hawaiian mustard is so amazing - you can take a jar to take home with you before you leave.
