Shipwreck Beach

Saves: 5

Named for a disintegrating shipwreck that once languished in the waters, this beach is a favorite for visitors who want a bit of adventure mixed in with sunbathing. A 40-foot cliff is a great way to catapult yourself quickly down to the beach, but you can also hike down the Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail. Don't like sweating or jumping? Take a nice albeit bumpy drive down Poipu Rd. While this isn't the safest place to snorkel, swim, or surf, you'll find the beach to be a perfect island paradise with an occasional monk seal.
