Treat yourself to a panoramic view of the verdant Wailua River Valley at this well-placed overlook just off of Kuamo’o Road. The 20-mile long river begins at Mount Waialeale (the “wettest spot on earth”) and then snakes its way through a lush and expansive valley of emerald fields and dense trees, painting a serene picture of tropical tranquility for those fortunate enough to find themselves in this enchanted spot. If you’re not content to simply view the valley from above, you can book a cruise boat or rent a kayak for a view of the river valley at ground level.
