Description:
Sadly, this attraction burned in the tragic Maui wildfires in August 2023. In an act of remembrance, we have chosen to retain it in the app as a tribute to the victims' memory and a gesture of respect to the storied and historic Lahaina Town. #LahainaStrong
A medical missionary by the name of Dwight Baldwin took over the property in 1836 and built it up to its current state today. He and his wife hosted visitors including ship captains and Hawaiian royalty. His most noteworthy achievement was saving the people of several islands from a smallpox epidemic. The house has been lovingly restored to its original state and charges $7 per person for admission.
