D.T. Fleming Beach Park

D.T. Fleming Beach Park was given named America’s Best Beach (an annually-awarded time) over ten times by USA Today, and it’s easy to understand why. This beautiful white sand beach on Honokahua Bay is extremely popular with body boarders and body surfers, but its strong waves can also be dangerous if caution isn’t taken. That said, make sure to check in with the lifeguard regarding surf conditions before venturing in. For those who prefer to stay on shore, plenty of shade is provided by ironwood trees among the sand dunes, and the bay offers picturesque views from all angles. Parking is free and abundant, and bathroom/showers facilities are available and easily accessible.
