Description:

You won’t be at a loss for things to do at Ka'ena Point State Park, a gorgeous stretch of coastline perfect for hiking, fishing, picnicking, dolphin spotting, and water activities like surfing and swimming (when weather conditions permit). Hike up one of two trailheads (depending on whether you’re entering form the north or south) to Kaena Point for scenic views of Mokileia and Waianae. A word of advice—bring plenty of water and protection from the sun as this hike is known to get very hot. Ka'ena Point is also considered ancient ground for native Hawaiians, as it’s here where souls of the dead are believed to jump off and meet their ancestors in the spirit world.
