Koko Crater Botanical Gardens

Check-ins: 2
This unusual xeriscape garden was planted within the basin of Koko Crater using water conservation techniques befitting the area’s arid climate. The drought resistant plants hail from around the world and include baobabs, cacti, adeniums, aloes, and a grove of about 500 native wiliwili trees. Visitors comment that the 2-mile loop trail through Koko Crater is more akin to a hike (albeit on a paved pathway) than it is a stroll through a garden. That said, make sure to bring walking shoes and plenty of water as the conditions are hot and dry. Also, if you want to see blooms, make sure to visit in Spring for a far more colorful display.
