Affiliated with the Smithsonian, this farm has the distinction of being the only living history museum solely dedicated to coffee. Prized for its ability to keep you alert, the coffee bean is a precious resource. Kona coffee is one of the most sought after, a product of thoughtful and expert cultivation by Japanese immigrants to the islands at the dawn of the 20th century. Admission to most of the exhibits is free but you should shell out some money to taste some of the best freshly baked bread and brewed coffee in the world.
