Custer Ghost Town

Custer, nearby to its more famous sister city Bonanza, was founded in 1879 by speculators. It was a one street town but it had a dairy, a mill, and even a Chinatown. Like many ghost towns, Custer slowly came to its demise when the mines were depleted. Good news - the Forestry Service is repairing and restoring the original buildings and artifacts.
