Farnsworth TV & Pioneer Museum

If you thought that Hollywood was the birthplace of television, you were wrong. It's actually Rigby, ID - the boyhood home of Philo Farnworth, inventor of the electronic TV. This museum doesn't have the grandest history - it was a motel renovated by convicts. On display are TVs and electronic devices from different eras of the 1900s. Looking at these TVs, it's hard to believe that the cathode ray version has become a scarcity in recent years - we are so used to seeing the flatscreens now!
