USS 666 Hawkbill

Named for the large sea turtle, this Sturgeon-class attack submarine's reputation was sealed with the sinister "666" designation - even being nicknamed the Devil Boat. First launched in 1969, she served 16 deployments over 29 years before being decommissioned in 2000. The sail proudly displays the number, protruding from the ground and giving the illusion that the rest of the submarine is buried underneath.
