Description:
While the British Isles were under constant attacks by Vikings, the indigenous people known as Mississippians were settling what now is the Cahokia Mounds in St. Clair County, IL. Larger than London in the 13th century, Cahokia is the site of a once-great city. Over a hundred mounds have yielded treasures such as arrowheads and pottery which give us a wealth of information about the people who lived here over 700 years ago.
