This 500-acre park was once the estate of Chicago Tribune publishers Joseph Medill and his grandson Colonel Robert McCormick. Today, kids and adults enjoy this public park; it attracts more than 300,000 visitors every year. It's fully equipped with ornamental landscapes, botanical gardens, children's activities, a cafe, and restaurant. It's also a great place to golf! Fees are extremely reasonable; check the website for current rates. (Submitted by Milovanovic Vera)
