Description:

This small zoo, built on 5 acres of land, is also the historic site of a train station. Mostly known for its domesticated animals, Cosley Zoo also houses a number of wild animals indigenous to Illinois. Cosley's conservation effort is focused on increasing the population of the Blanding's turtle. So far, the zoo has helped to release 2,100 turtles since 1996.
