Stan the Tire Man Uniroyal Gal

Stan the Tire Man Uniroyal Gal statue is a roadside attraction located at 1213 Broadway St. in Mt Vernon, IL. The statue is a 30-foot-tall fiberglass figure of a woman known as the "Uniroyal Gal." The statue was originally created in the 1960s as part of a marketing campaign by the Uniroyal Tire Company. At that time several similar statues were placed at Uniroyal dealerships across the United States. (Submitted by Rachel Harrington)
