An eye-catching welcome sign with the "Red, White, and Blue" was painted on the side of Ardent Mills in 2016. It was part of a revitalization project for the downtown area of Alton which has a lot of independent restaurants and shops. To see another public work of art stop at State and 3rd Street where a colorful mural was painted by Joe Miller right on the street.
