Witch’s Grave of St Omer Cemetery

The St. Omer Cemetery in rural Illinois holds a unique monument - a large sphere atop stacked logs and kindling. It marks the resting place of the Barnes family: Granville Barnes, his wife, Sarah Ann, their son, Marcus, and Marcus' wife, Caroline. Caroline passed away from pneumonia, but there's a curious error on the monument. It states her death occurred on February 31, a date that doesn't exist.
