Description:
Built in 1913 at an original cost of $4,235, this Burr Arch truss bridge crosses Sugar Creek. It was built to replace a bridge that had been washed away in a flood. Even though the bridge is pretty, the seemingly shallow creek is the real attraction. Very large catfish have been known to swim in its waters. One of the largest documented catfish weighed in at 47 pounds - but apparently this was a "normal" catch. Larger ones of up to 75 pounds had been caught in the same waters.
