Decatur County Courthouse Tree

In the 1870s people noticed a spray of green popping out of the tower of the courthouse tower. The spray continued to grow into a bona fide tree. Amazingly, it took decades to figure out exactly what type of tree was freakishly growing on top of the tower. After a recent trimming, a sample was positively identified as a Mulberry tree.
