Also known as Shawnee Cave, this is the last of the Shawnee drainage system, a stream that runs through three caves. The cavern is huge, maybe what you'd imagine a real-life Minecraft cave to be like. Because it is part of a drainage system, you can expect the floor to be covered in water with higher levels after heavy rains. Appropriate clothing, shoes, and flotation devices are strongly suggested. There is a long staircase down from the parking lot. A parking entrance fee applies. The cave is part of the Spring Mill State Park which includes a Pioneer Village and Grist Mill. To get there, take IN-60 and turn north on a small road that is a couple hundred feet west of County Rd 950 E. You should see a sign on IN-60 that points you to Spring Mill State Park.
