The first to be accredited as simultaneously a zoo, an aquarium, and a botanical garden by the AZA and the American Alliance of Museums, the Indianapolis Zoo is a haven for exotic animals. Biomes have been built to represent various habitats which simulate the species' natural homes. The unique feature of this zoo is the White River Gardens, a splendid 3-acre botanical Eden where hundreds of species of flora thrive.
