Providence Home Geode Grotto

Father Phillip Ottavi, an Italian immigrant, had the divine inspiration for the Geode Grotto in 1960. Over a 10 year period, four city blocks were covered in fountains, planters, and gardens. There were no fancy landscapers or architects to design this fantastical place; it was solely the imagination and the passion of a man who deeply believed in his faith.
