Turkey Run State Park

No one really knows why this state park was named "Turkey Run" but most people believe that wild turkeys once convened here at the time the Europeans settled this location. Today it is a favorite spot for outdoorsy people and casual hikers with its gorges, gigantic boulders, and the ladders placed strategically along the trails. As if those attributes weren't enough, there are campgrounds, horseback riding, waterfalls, and plenty of amenities such as bathhouses. Although many people visit because they want a challenge, this is a park that is good for people of all ages.
