Description:

Grant Wood's most famous painting, "American Gothic," is rendered on the exterior of this barn. Quite fitting as the painted father and daughter are supposed to be farmers, their faces hardened by the rural life of the early 20th century. The mural was reproduced by local art school teacher Mark Benesh, commissioned by the barn's owner. To see the mural drive on Lincoln Hwy. It is located between Kepler Rd. and Cedar River Rd. on the south side of Lincoln.
