American Gothic House

That old, creepy painting "American Gothic" has a house in the background which is overshadowed by the stern looking man and his wife (or daughter) in front of it. The house in the painting was modeled after this house - called the Dibble House. It remained a private residence until 1991 when it was donated as a museum.
