This museum is located in the city of William Cody's (a.k.a. Buffalo Bill's) birth. It is dedicated to the legendary man who got his nickname from the bison he hunted but it also showcases a wealth of information about life and civilization along the Mississippi River. Exhibits include authentic clothing from the frontier days, a hands-on room for kids, and all kinds of inventions thought up by residents of Le Claire. The museum is open year-round and admission is a mere $5 per adult.
