Displays of traditional Dutch clothing, photos, and antiques help to connect the history of the town to the present. Early Dutch settlers from Holland (which is now the Netherlands) arrived at the Eastern Seaboard in the mid 1800s looking for religious freedom. They made their way out west eventually settling in Iowa. They brought many of their traditions with them which can be seen in the museum. The yearly tulip festival is also featured here.
