World’s Largest Popcorn Ball

This is the second giant popcorn sphere to inhabit this city - the result of a joint effort of 250 volunteers. They performed the laborious work of gluing together several thousand pounds of popcorn, sugar, and syrup into this giant rotund mass. The first one - built in 2009 - had to be removed because it was getting a bit disgusting. The new one - birthed in 2016 - weighs well over 9,000 pounds. Don't worry if you can't visit before it too gets moldy and gross - another one will surely be made. (Submitted by Dennis Sanford)
